A quick reminder that Crafty Wonderland is this weekend. For the first time ever the sale will be TWO days long, Saturday May 1st and Sunday May 2nd, 11am to 5pm at the Oregon Convention Center. There will be over 200 vendors, a DIY table and even food and drink. It's free, all-ages and each day, the first 200 people to walk through the doors get some awesome goodie bags.
Come by and say "hi" and get some shopping done just in time for Mother's Day.

May Flowers

I'm still working on stuff for this weekend. Here's a small sample of some of my favorite stuff I'll have at Crafty Wonderland. I'm so excited about each and every thing. I've got some new ties to make tonite which I'm VERY excited about and then I'll be nearly done.

I've been working on these cute deer journals for Crafty Wonderland coming up this weekend. These deers are made with aaaaadorable vintage fabric and the journals are full of grid paper.

Bags.

This is what my life is looking like lately. Back and forth from Seattle. At least my new Liberty bag from Target makes me smile.

Have a Wonderful Weekend

I need to start busting out some more goodies for Crafty Wonderland but it may have to wait until next week since the boy and I are heading up to Seattle to see Conan O'Brien this weekend. These Orla inspired designs are something new I'm debuting at the sale. I love the mix of vintage floral prints together.

Trend: Fabric Flags and Bunting

I love fabric flags. I even used them as decoration at my wedding. As I've been thinking of new designs for my flour sac dish cloths, I keep seeing these adorable fabric flags everywhere. I love them as not only as a decorative element for a party but as a visual element on everything from pillows to cards.

I think this pillow from Katherine j Lee is such a clever use of the fabric flag motif.

This is a mini flag bunting from Olive Someday that would be so cute for a party.

These cards from Saratops use recycled maps as the flags.

This coin purse from Dinky Daisy on etsy is so adorable.

Monday.

I have a serious case of "the mondays" as they say but these cute little fabric cupcake toppers I made this weekend are helping to brighten up my day. These will be available at the upcoming Crafty Wonderland. I had most of the materials I needed to make these on-hand, including the little baggies. I love when I come up with a project and I don't have to go out and spend a ton of time and money finding the materials for it. Now I need to find some sort of cupcake for the display. This cupcake (and topper!) is perfect and I think it's clay. This one is ceramic and cute enough but I need one with a hole in the top so I'm thinking I may have to use a real cupcake.

Thursday Blues

I've been getting inspired by the beautiful colors I see when I'm walking around my neighborhood and the little gifts I give my wonderful friends. I saw these lockers today and they were in perfect condition and I wrapped this set of notebooks with wallpaper and japanese tape. We've been talking a lot in my design strategies class about inspiration, where it comes from and different places in the city that you can get inspired to work on new stuff.
I'm also still working on getting new designs together for flour sac dish clothes and maybe some reusable bags for Crafty Wonderland. I can't wait to get them together to share here.
