Hello, Weekend!

A quick Saturday morning post. First of all, how great is this simple and modern couch from urban outfitters? It's even under $500! We desperately need new living room furniture and I'm convinced we can find something at one of the vintage furniture stores in Portland. We've been looking ever since we moved down here but seeing stuff like this makes me want to just buy it and get it over with.

Spent last nite at home crafting. I saw this over at Love Forever and it definitely inspired me to create some new collage work. I'll post the new stuff at my etsy store this weekend!

How Long Has This Been Going On?

So, I've been super busy lately and I'm happy to report that some of it is actually craft related. First, Crafty Wonderland was fantastic! I love the Doug Fir and last weekend the boy and I found out that they have an awesome happy hour that coincides nicely with the end of Crafty Wonderland. We ate yummy food and drank fancy drinks. It was lovely.
The other very important craft project I have underway is my etsy site! Check out www.antelopebaby.etsy.com!!!! Of course I accept paypal and major credit cards. I feel so pro. This pic is of the vintage wallpaper pack that I have up for sale right now. Only $9 for all that wallpaper, trims, butterflies and a cute little gold frame!
I'm also working on a new Antelope Baby line made of recycled materials. Something that I'm very interested in. I will be posting pics soon here and maybe do my first tutorial! Look for those on my etsy site coming up as well.

Bedroom Inspiration

I found this on apartment therapy and I think it's incredibly inspring, especially since we're in the middle of a bedroom overhaul.

Everybody's Workin' for the Weekend...

Local Portlanders: I just found out I will be at Crafty Wonderland again this month! I thought I'd missed the deadline but it turns out they still had some space. I need to get out of my craft funk and get to work! Here's the flyer for the show.

I'm looking for all sorts of inspiration and this beautiful shirt is helping. I bought the purple version at Amalee on Mississippi last week. It's a mix of cotton and bamboo (which is super fast growing and a great renewable resource) which makes me love it even more. The company is called Talla, if you want to check it out!

Finally, on West Coast Craffty, they showed this amazing "Crafter's Guide to Portland" that will be available this weekend at Crafty Wonderland. Come by and pick one up. I'm so excited about this!

What happened to Spring?

Woah! June? For reals, it's already June? Let's see, where has the time gone? I haven't had a ton of time for crafing lately. Dan and I went to this amazing store (truly, it's fantastic!)and I picked up sticker paper, sheep stamps and green wire- all meant to inspire me but nothing has happened yet.

Instead, I've been reading. The Road was one of those books that freaked me out so much that one nite, I was reading it in bed and the boy had already fallen asleep- I finished up my reading for the nite and needed to go to the bathroom. I freaked myself out so much that I was scared to get up and go to the bathroom- which is right next to our bedroom. The strangest thing is that, this book is so unlikely that I don't know exactly what I was afraid of. I don't live in post apocalyptic times, no one's eating babies here. (oh, sorry, didn't mean to ruin that part for you...)
OK, I promise! More crafty posts to come this week.
