Knitty Kitty!

So of course, the boy gave me his cold. It's so hard to not pass illness back and forth when you're living with someone! While I was sick, I decided to use some embroidery patterns that I've had sitting around forever. I finally finished this one last nite. It's my first embroidered piece in a long time but I think it turned out alright. I hung it up above the toliet in the bathroom and I guess I'm pretty proud of it. I should also mention that it reminds me of this store here in Portland that I can't wait to go and explore!
Alright so I was also tagged by Jane (my swap partner) to give up 7 random things about myself. Ok:
1. The thing that excites me the most about this summer can be summed up in two words: Harry Potter
2. I can't garden worth a damn.
3. Even though I can talk smack all day long about people who drive and how it's bad for the environment, I actually love to drive.
4. I'm still pretty much afraid of the dark.
5. I have only 6 television channels and I still think that l watch too much tv!
6. I just got a library card for the first time in over 10 years.
7. Tyra Banks- has she lost her mind? That lady is crazy!

Okay, I'm off to work. Is it nice where you are because it's freakin' beautiful here!

Sure and Steady

Busy, busy week! We will be back in Seattle this weekend and I'm just
exhausted working two jobs. Funemployment is officially over.

So, onto the crafts! I am finally posting a picture of the amazing items I got in my Craftydaisies swap. My swap partner
Jane did the most amazing job on my knitting needle case. I have
never had one of these, but it's very handy to organize all my needles
and (holla!) there's a robot on it! Also, it looks like crafty daisies is offering crochet classes. I may need to participate since I STILL don't know how to crochet.
I also wanted to put a picture up of one of the satchels I've been making. This one has a felt owl applique of my own design stitched on it. The boy took some more professional pictures that I'll put up on my website soon. So, what do you think?
I had these at Crafty Wonderland but they didn't sell. Instead, I sold a TON of wallets and some silkscreened shirts, so all was not lost.

Antelope Baby goes to Wonderland!

Here's the flyer for Crafty Wonderland this weekend. If you're in the area, stop by and see me!
Also, I finally got my swap items and I'm so excited to share the pictures I took of my stuff. Expect a more detailed post soon!

Played Your Heart but I Broke Two Strings...

There has been so much going on right now (crafty and non) that I haven't even had time to think about the blog.
First, I sent off my stuff for the crafy daisies swap and I am still awaiting my goodies from my swap partner. She has a few "preview" pics posted on her blog but I'm so excited to get my stuff!
This weekend I worked on stuff for my first craft show here in Portland. I'll be at Crafty Wonderland at The Doug Fir on Sunday May 13th and I've got some new stuff to debut there. I'm also trying to get my first tutorial up on my blog. The picture of the felt owl is the cover of a journal I made. I am working on making a pattern of the owl so I can have a free pdf for download of it here on my site.
Oh, and I'm going to take advantage of the free craft classes they are offering at the Multnomah Public Library. Take a look here at the one I think I'll participate in.
Last but not least, I'll mention how amazing the weather has been lately. Last nite I went to pick up the boy at the train station and it was just... well... amazing outside.
